Today I start a new phase in my blogging career and considering the past experiences it can only get better. I have decided to redesign my web completely and move into WordPress, this allows me to integrate the blog and my portfolio in one place. At the moment the basic structure is there and I will populate it with more and more pictures.
The redesign has many goals: to show much more of the actual work I am doing; be compatible with the new handheld devices; integrate the blog into the web and, in general, give a much more modern look to the site.
I have been thinking for quite awhile what to put in the web and how to arrange it. In the end I have decided to create some portfolios with my best work and then add galleries with more photos for those who have a bit of time to look around.
In the blog I will not only show the latest photos, jobs, projects but also I will write more about photography. I would like to write articles, maybe even once a week, where I elaborate on some thoughts I have about photography, techniques, mixing photography and life, things I see… We will see how it comes out.
I also pretend to use the blog as a way of showing examples of my latest work before I put up the galleries, which require more effort and take longer..
Well, those are the “new web resolutions” lets see how much I can deliver. I hope that you will enjoy the new site and post lots of comments, good or bad.
I appreciate any comments you can leave, specially if they help to improve the site.
